It was a rainy day today in Scotland. We lazed around the place, painting,
blogging, and reading; went to Lord of the Isles for lunch (Dan tried a new single malt “Arran” from the Isle of Arran; had a delicious fish chowder and a “savoury
cheese sandwich” which turned out to be quite good. Kathy had a “Scottish beef” burger which she
enjoyed.
Dan took off for a walk in the
afternoon because the sun was out, but alas, he had frittered away the sunshine
and midway through it started drizzling, and then raining, and he was soaked when
he got back. Lesson learned: if the sun shines, get out in it before it
rains! We head out early tomorrow
morning, drive down to Kennacraig Ferry (perhaps stops along the way), which
takes us to Islay and the Persabus Farm Pottery and Self-Catering/B&B which
will be our resting place for three nights.
