17 June - Rest at Voortrekker

Rain and fog this morning… so we “leisured”.  Late morning we drove to the Jamieson & Smith Wool Store… Kathy’s second one already!  Her review:  “I was a very nice wool shop, with all Shetland sheep wool in many many colors and weights.  Lots of beautiful finished examples of sweaters, hats, & socks.  I found the Kate Davies Yokes book I was looking for.”

I updated journal and deleted (yes deleted!!!) some photos.  Then off to Fjara Coffee Shop which had been on the “recommended” list of places to eat.  A beautiful modern coffee shop with great view of the cliffs, rocks, and water.  We ate salad and cheese board, indulged ourselves with a piece of Millionaire Cake and Cappucino.  Dan also tried a new scotch called Scapa Glansa – it was good…

Then down to Commercial Street… one of the old narrow streets that is closed to autos during the day.  Did a bit of shopping, visited the tourist office, and tried to get our phones fixed.  Then home, nap, and more communication with our phone and SIM card providers… all to no avail.
